To head off the worst impacts of climate change, scientists warn that we need to cut global carbon emissions by perhaps 70 percent by mid-century. There are two basic ways to get there: replace fossil fuels with renewable energy sources, or use a lot less energy. One way to focus on that solution is to make buildings smarter.

CHALLENGE

Create a one-man-band, short, sharp video that features radio journalist Jason Margolis as he explores the future of energy efficient factories.

APPROACH

Using an intimate approach, with a one-person-crew, creating a sense of intimacy and a travel-like video journal.  Post-produciton required dynamic editing and music.

RESULT

The finished video received thousands of views on YouTube and bolster the PRX video stream while also cross-promoting with the radio broadcast.
