LUCASFILM

A behind the scenes look at the making of Star Wars, Episode I The Phantom Menace.

CHALLENGE

Working with over 600+ hours of exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage, how can we create a short, sharp original web-series in preparation for the highly anticipated release of the first Star Wars film in over 20 years?

APPROACH

Using classical documentary-style storytelling, weaving together original interviews, cinema verite and archival material, we crafted engaging short documentaries.

RESULT

One of the first-of-its kind web-series used as a marketing tool to increase anticipation  for the premiere of Star Wars, Episode I. The series, known as “Lynne’s Diary” had massive online engagement with new and existing Star Wars fans throughout the world.  The “featurettes” were included on the DVDs and used for EPKs.

From Jedi-fighting to building an uber R2-D2, go behind the scenes to discover the people who created the first Star Wars movie in 25 years: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
